About the event
Invasive Species Removal
This collaborative effort brings together the Alamo Area and Guadalupe Chapters of Texas Master Naturalists to remove invasive species that compete with native plants and disrupt our local ecosystem. With support from the Native Plant Society of Texas—San Antonio Chapter, we're making real progress in habitat restoration! Please complete this RSVP and liability form prior to attending.
9 - 11:00 a.m.: Invasive Species Removal
Join volunteers in removing invasive plants along Salado Creek. Expert naturalists will guide you on proper removal techniques and answer questions about invasive vs. native species.
Optional - After 11 a.m.: 2.5-Mile Nature Walk & Survey
For those interested in extending their visit, enjoy a guided nature walk and informal survey of the site to identify other invasive species and native plants worth celebrating.
